Celebrating Engineering And Sharing Stories
Welcome
Over the past few weeks, a huge amount of my focus has been on creating video content. Alongside the continued rollout of EngineeringLondon, I've also been recording a fantastic line-up of new podcast episodes that you'll be seeing over the coming weeks.
Behind the scenes, we're also well underway with planning for this year's Engineering Talent Awards. October may still feel a long way off, but an event of this scale takes months of preparation to bring together. From sponsors and finalists to logistics and production, there's plenty happening long before we arrive on awards night!

It's certainly been a busy period, but I'm excited to finally start sharing much of what we've been working on.
Engineering Talent Awards – Early Bird Tickets

The Engineering Talent Awards 2026 will once again bring together hundreds of engineers, leaders, students, apprentices and organisations to celebrate the people helping shape a more inclusive future for engineering and technology.
🎟️ Early Bird tickets are still available, but only until the end of July (or until allocation sells out).
Whether you're joining as a finalist, supporting colleagues, entertaining clients or simply want to be part of one of engineering's biggest celebrations of talent and inclusion, now is the perfect time to secure your place.
Individual tickets and table packages are both available.
EngineeringLondon
This week we released the fourth episode of EngineeringLondon, featuring the iconic Millennium Bridge.
Since launching the series, we've explored St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, Greenwich Foot Tunnel, and now one of London's most recognisable pedestrian bridges, uncovering the engineering stories that many people walk past every day without ever realising.
The response so far has been fantastic, and I'm really enjoying seeing so many people discovering the hidden engineering behind our capital.
If you've missed any of the episodes so far, now is the perfect time to catch up before next week's landmark is revealed!
This Week on The SAFE Leader Podcast
This week I'm joined by Traci Quinn, founder and CEO of Pink Hats Construction & Development Group, for one of the most remarkable conversations we've had on the podcast.
Traci shares an extraordinary journey, from a successful nursing career, through wrongful imprisonment and receiving eight life sentences, to rebuilding her life with a mission to transform underserved communities through construction, workforce development and second chances. Her story is ultimately one of resilience, forgiveness and purpose, showing how adversity can become the catalyst for creating lasting social impact.
We also explore women in construction, sustainable building using hemp-based materials, creating opportunities for people leaving prison, and why great leadership ultimately comes down to one simple word: love. It's an emotional, inspiring and deeply thought-provoking conversation that I know will stay with you long after you've finished listening.
