Earlier this week, I had the privilege of speaking at Safety Connect 2025, hosted by Safeopedia, a brilliant virtual gathering of global health and safety professionals.

My talk was titled: “Engaging Male-Majority Workforces: Extending Physical Safety to Psychological Safety”

It focused on how safety culture must evolve to include mental wellbeing, especially in male-dominated industries. I shared how The SAFE Leader framework offers a practical route to doing just that, bridging physical safety with psychological safety, and linking it to trust, inclusion, and leadership behaviours.

TEDx Talk in Finland!

Last weekend I had the incredible honour of delivering a TEDx talk at TEDx Viikki in Helsinki, Finland. My talk title, ‘SAFE to Speak – Why Men’s Stories Matter’

It was a powerful experience, sharing why men's voices, especially in engineering, are often left out of conversations about equality, and why psychological safety must start with storytelling.

Being on that red dot, with my heart racing (ŌURA ring confirmed it!), then calming the moment I stepped on stage, reminded me: this work matters.
